Online/Social Media Competition Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all competitions and giveaways (“Competitions”) run by Kiron (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”) via social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram.

1. Eligibility  

• Competitions are open to South African residents only.

• Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.

• Employees, contractors, or immediate family members of Kiron (Pty) Ltd are not eligible to enter.

• Only one entry per person per competition will be allowed. Entrants using multiple accounts will be disqualified.

2. Entry Conditions  

• No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

• By entering, participants agree to follow the rules of the specific competition post and these standard terms.

• Entrants must use their personal, valid, and authentic social media accounts. Fake or duplicate accounts will result in disqualification.

• Any participant who enters a competition with the Promoter consents to their name & surname being publicly mentioned or read aloud during winner announcements, including live draws etc.

3. Winner Selection  

• Winners will be selected fairly and at random unless otherwise stated in the competition details.

• The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• Winners will be contacted via direct message on the platform used to enter. If a winner cannot be reached within 5 days, the prize may be forfeited and redrawn.

• Winners must provide their full name, contact number, and email address & ID Document for verification and prize delivery purposes.

4. Prizes  

• Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be exchanged for cash unless otherwise stated.

• Voucher prizes may not be resold or exchanged for cash.

• In most cases, prizes must be collected at Kiron (Pty) Ltd’s office at 26 Whitaker’s Way, Bedfordview, unless otherwise arranged.

• The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.

5. Privacy and POPIA Compliance  

• All personal information provided will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

• By entering a competition, participants consent to their personal data being collected and used for the purposes of administering the competition and fulfilling prizes.

• Data will not be sold or shared with third parties outside of what is necessary to deliver the prize.

6. General  

• The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel competitions at any time without prior notice, for reasons beyond its control.

• The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues, including missed entries due to platform malfunctions.

• Facebook and Instagram are not sponsors, endorsers, or administrators of these promotions and are released from all liability by each participant.
